Speaker Spotlight: Matty Cohen

We asked each of our speakers a few questions about themselves and their connection with WordPress – here’s what Matty had to say.

Matt CohenMatt is WordPress and web developer, musician and blogger. He is a lover of punk rock, innovation, business and 80s/90s cartoons. He is currently working as Chief Product Officer at WooThemes.

How are you involved with WordPress and the WordPress community?

I live and breath WordPress. I head up the product division over at WooThemes, a market leader in the premium WordPress space. I also enjoy coding utility plugins in my spare time and thrive on helping to develop the business sector within WordPress, and helping developers to focus on solving real-world issues using WordPress.

What excites you most about WordPress?

Freedom and empowerment. Showing someone that anything is possible with WordPress and how the platform enables anyone to realise their dreams.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

The ability to apply any super power to myself at any given time, of course (perhaps with a limit… like only 3 at a time… you know, to make it… “realistic”).
