A message from our MCs: Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues

How are you?
We are fine, thanks for asking.
You’re looking lovely today, by the way; have you lost weight?

Good! Good. Now that we’re best friends forever, we can let you in on a secret: we’re extremely excited & proud to announce that we’ll be back as MCs for Wordcamp Cape Town 2014.

We're doing a stadium gig! #WCCT tickets at 2014.capetown.wordcamp.org

That’s right, WordPress geeks! We had a blast at last year’s event, and this time around we’re hoping to have a state-of-the-art revolving stage, giant LED screens with near-constant twerking on them as well as a massive fireworks display that would put New Year’s Eve 1999 to shame – all in a bid to entertain you folks in the breaks between speakers.*

Speaking of which, we can’t wait to introduce the awesome guest speakers that WCCT have rustled up for you this year, and this time around there will also be some killer workshops on the go as well. You guys get a chance to learn from some of the best in the business, whilst eating amazing food, & hanging out with like-minded internet folk. Neat!

To warm up, why not go & watch all of our videos on an endless loop at: youtube.com/wearethesundayblues – we’ll see you at the Cape Town Stadium on Thursday October 23rd!

Nic & Gareth

PS. By reading this post, you agree to give us one free high-five on the day of the conference.

* There will be no fireworks, twerk screen or revolving stages. We just said that to make you think we were cool. Sorry about that.

Thanks Gareth. #WCCT
