Speaker Spotlight: Gerhard Potgieter

We asked each of our speakers a few questions about themselves and their connection with WordPress – here’s what Gerhard had to say.

Gerhard PotgieterGerhard is an avid WordPress enthusiast, web developer, blogger, technologist and homebrewer. He is currently working as a lead developer at WooThemes.

How are you involved with WordPress and the WordPress community?

I am a lead developer at WooThemes where I am mainly responsible for the WooThemes.com website where I get to push the limits of WordPress and WooCommerce on a large scale every day.

What excites you most about WordPress?

The ease and power of the platform, which enabled just about anyone with basic computer literacy to set up a site or even online store in no time, and the best part of it all, for free!

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

Ability to learn new skills, matrix style!
